Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop software solutions using C# and.NET technologies.
  • Propose and assess solutions to design issues by identifying and evaluating new technologies and third-party components.

  • Hold a natural curiosity and approach to learning new technologies relevant to the business.
  • Interpret business requirements and technical specifications to complete estimates for change requests within established SLA's.
  • Gain an understanding of our client's industry and customer base requirements and how they are met by our client's product range.

Technical Skills & Experience

Essential:

  • Proven experience developing Windows Forms applications with C# or VB.NET in a commercial environment.
  • Web development experience in ASP.NET MVC.
  • Unit testing experience.
  • An ability to debug large, multi-solution, multi-layer projects.
  • Object Oriented programming practices, SOLID principles, and design patterns.
  • SQL, Microsoft SQL Server (2012 onwards), relational database design, and performance diagnostics, with an ability to write and optimise SQL queries.
  • UK resident with unrestricted rights to work in the UK.

Desirable:

  • Knowledge of Entity Framework.
  • Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
  • Web API, REST API, and API Design.
  • Front-end: CSS3 & HTML.
  • Javascript Frameworks, specifically Knockout (Javascript MVVM frameworks).
  • An understanding of security considerations when designing and developing public-facing applications and API endpoints.
  • DevOps and deployment of projects.
  • Developing Windows Services.
