HR Advisor Role in Tarmac

As an HR Advisor in Tarmac, you will be working closely with the HR Managers to provide first-line support to local and designated management teams across various business areas. This role involves providing HR support in the implementation of policies, people initiatives, and participating in cross-Functional project groups as required. You will be responsible for ensuring compliance with employment law and company policies and procedures at all times, providing managers with advice in respect of employee relations issues. Additionally, you will support managers in the management and improvement of employee performance, assist in the management of short and long-term absence, and support the Resourcing team to ensure a diverse and inclusive workforce.

The ideal candidate for this role will have a CIPD qualification or working towards an accreditation, knowledge of Employment Law, strong written and verbal communications, and the ability to use IT platforms. They should be commercially aware, able to understand business operations and targets, and have proven experience in producing reports aligned to HR metrics. The candidate should also be able to work effectively both autonomously and as part of a team and have excellent attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities

  • Employee Relations: Ensure compliance with employment law and company policies and procedures at all times, providing managers with advice in respect of employee relations issues.
  • Performance Management: Support managers in the management and improvement of employee performance.
  • Absence Management: Assist in the management of short and long-term absence, balancing the welfare of employees and the needs of the business to identify solutions and remedies.
  • Resourcing: Support the Resourcing team to ensure a diverse and inclusive workforce.

Requirements

  • CIPD qualification or working towards an accreditation.
  • Knowledge of Employment Law.
  • Strong written and verbal communications.
  • Ability to use IT platforms.
