Job Summary:
Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust seeks a highly skilled Medical Imaging Specialist to join their team. As an Obstetric and General Sonography Expert, you will be responsible for performing and reporting ultrasound examinations across both disciplines to a high standard.

The ideal candidate will have a Diploma/BSc in Radiography and Post Graduate Diploma in Medical Ultrasound or DMU, with HCPC Registration. They should also have experience in obstetric and non-obstetric abdominal ultrasound, gynaecological ultrasound including endovaginal scanning, and some small parts ultrasound. Additionally, they must be adaptable, flexible, and have a good working knowledge of a range of ultrasound equipment.

The estimated salary for this position is £45,000 - £60,000 per annum. The role requires the ability to work autonomously and as part of a team, providing exceptional care to patients and customers.

About the Role:
This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, contributing to the delivery of high-quality patient care. As a key member of the maternity service team, you will work closely with Obstetric teams to provide exceptional care to all patients. You will perform and report ultrasound examinations, taking pride in the quality of care provided.

Key Responsibilities:
* Perform and report ultrasound examinations across both obstetric and general disciplines * Provide training and education to all members of the team * Participate in future 7-day service, working across all OUH sites as required * Work autonomously and as part of a team to undertake a wide range of examinations * Report ultrasound examinations to a high standard in a professional manner, working within departmental guidelines * Take pride in the quality of care provided for our patients and customers

Person Specification:
Qualifications:
  • Diploma/BSc in Radiography
  • Post Graduate Diploma in Medical Ultrasound or DMU
  • HCPC Registration
Experience:
  • Experience in obstetric and non-obstetric abdominal ultrasound, gynaecological ultrasound including endovaginal scanning, and some small parts ultrasound
  • Evidence of professional development
  • Adaptable/flexible
  • Good working knowledge of a range of ultrasound equipment
