Job Summary

5S Recruitment Limited is seeking a highly experienced QHSE Manager to join our client's team in Gloucestershire. As a key member of the Operational team, you will be responsible for ensuring the company's QHSE strategy is implemented across the business, working in partnership with colleagues to maintain a safe and environmentally friendly work environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement QHSE strategy company-wide, ensuring health and safety compliance and setting objectives for QHSE coordinators to drive continual improvements.
  • Ensure product compliance is adhered to and exceeded, identifying opportunities to widen the scope of product compliance to benefit the company and market position.
  • Manage company-wide legislative and legal compliance, including annual budgeting control for the department within existing framework.
  • Identify and implement continual improvements, setting strategic goals and framework for the QHSE and wider teams within group companies.
  • Support the maintenance and development of the Quality Management System (QMS) and monitor Quality Performance, including quality audits.
  • Provide a framework for the management of Environmental Management and ensure all areas remain environmentally compliant, recommending a roadmap to net zero.
  • Manage the customer complaints process and lead and manage internal and external audit programs for continual improvement, including ISO9001, ISO14001, EN10190, and BS12608.
Requirements
  • Practical hands-on experience of a similar role within manufacturing, with a good working knowledge of ISO9001, ISO14001, ISO45001, Quality, H&S, and Environmental requirements.
  • Knowledge of Vernier and shadowgraph measurement equipment and a good understanding of statistical process controls and data analysis.
  • NEBOSH qualification, such as the National General Certificate, and demonstrable experience of managing H&S.
  • Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written) and the ability to influence change and motivate cross-functional teams.
  • A full current driving license is essential for occasional travel.
