We are partnering with a leading Freight and Logistics provider to find an experienced Business Development Manager who can focus on developing their European Roadfreight services.

The successful candidate will report directly to the Managing Director and be responsible for identifying and targeting potential new clients, as well as working closely with existing customers and colleagues to strengthen relationships.

This is a hybrid role, requiring a mix of home-based, road-based, and office work in Dagenham. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and customer service skills, be self-motivated, and have a strong work ethic.

The main duties of the Business Development Manager - European Roadfreight Specialist include:

  • Initiating sales activities, focusing on European road transport and customs
  • Developing business relationships with existing and new customers
  • Identifying sales leads and developing core services
  • Preparing, delivering, and following up quotations and leads
  • Recording, reporting, and analysing outcomes
  • Understanding freight forwarding, particularly road freight and customs
  • A knowledge of Ocean and Airfreight would also be beneficial

We're looking for someone with at least 2 years of proven business development experience in a freight forwarding background, with connections within the industry.

The salary for this role is expected to be around £40-£50k per annum, plus a yearly sales bonus, private medical health scheme, company pension, 25 days holiday (plus Bank Holidays), car allowance, laptop, and other benefits.
