Reinsurance Solutions Expertise

Aon is currently seeking a seasoned Account Manager to join our UK Accident & Heath Reinsurance Solutions technical support team in London.

The successful candidate will work closely with colleagues in the broking team to provide high-level technical advice and professional service to clients. Primary responsibilities include technical and administrative support within our UK Accident & Heath team for treaty reinsurance placements.

Main Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the broking team in marketing treaty reinsurance placements, involving communication with clients, regional Aon offices, and reinsurers.
  • Provide detailed technical advice on contractual matters, including drafting slips & contracts, bespoke clauses, and provisions as required.
  • Negotiate contract content with clients and reinsurers throughout the placement process.
  • Produce contractual documentation, including contract wordings, endorsements, and evidence of cover.
  • Analyze data for client and market submissions, offering insights where necessary.
  • Liaise with brokers, account executives, account managers, analytics teams, clients, and reinsurers regarding submission information, portfolio developments, contract wordings, and their impact on reinsurance during the renewal process.
  • Resolve client and reinsurer queries, involving liaison with colleagues from other departments as needed.
  • Support brokers in delivering Aon products and tools efficiently.
  • Maintain data within Aon's IT systems.
  • Comply with Aon UK Limited Risk Management Framework and policies, including participation in risk management (including mandatory training) that may adversely affect the business, interests, or reputation of any group company.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Experience working in Reinsurance broking, preferably in Accident & Heath business but not essential.
  • Able to lead technical conversations both internally and in the marketplace.
  • Educated to A Level standard or equivalent.
  • Effective interpersonal skills, including communication and presentation skills.
  • Able to work well within a team.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Good numeracy skills.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with London (re)insurance market dynamics and core processes.
  • Technical (re)insurance knowledge.
  • Demonstrate integrity and professionalism.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Powerpoint.
  • Able to work in an environment where deadlines must be adhered to.

Estimated Salary Range: £55,000 - £75,000 per annum
