About the Role

Yorkshire Water is seeking a highly skilled Modelling Specialist (Wastewater) to join their Strategy & Regulation team. As a key member of the team, you will play a crucial role in supporting the delivery of wastewater network hydraulic models and promoting the operational, planning, and strategic role that hydraulic modelling plays within the company.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide effective technical support to consultants and internal stakeholders on issues relating to modelling and sewer network risks and opportunities.
  • Contribute towards technical innovation and manage the technical delivery of designated model use and model maintenance projects.
  • Ensure that models are developed, delivered, and implemented within the required timescales to ensure compliance with company model standards requirements.

Requirements

  • A degree qualification in a relevant discipline that includes some modelling activity and/or previous experience in urban drainage modelling.
  • Knowledge of how sewerage systems function and wastewater asset types.
  • Competent in the use of specialist modelling software and understanding of hydraulics and hydraulic calculations.
  • Strong data manipulation and analytical skills, with an eye for detail.
