Firth Recruitment Ltd is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Financial Support Specialist to join their team. As a key member of the finance department, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of financial processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Verify and process financial transactions, including invoices and receipts.
  • Manage the credit control function, ensuring timely payments and resolving any discrepancies.
  • Capture and process supplier invoices, and make timely payments.
  • Assist with bank reconciliations and ensure accurate financial records.
  • Process all aspects of payroll, including employee data and benefits.
  • Support the Finance Director with month-end accounts tasks and other ad-hoc duties as required.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in an accounting or finance role, preferably in a similar industry.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Awareness of HMRC regulations and reporting procedures.
