Living Collection Leader

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Senior Living Collection Keeper to join our team at WWT Castle Espie. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to the management of our wildfowl collection and deliver engaging visitor experiences.

As Senior Living Collection Keeper, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest welfare standards for the animals in our care. You will also be involved in daily feeding, husbandry, and enclosure maintenance, as well as delivering engaging walks and talks to visitors.

This is a full-time position working 37 hours per week, with a competitive salary of £35,000-£40,000 per annum, depending on experience.

To succeed in this role, you will need:

• Previous experience in animal husbandry, especially in aviculture
• Proven ability to supervise and motivate employees and/or volunteers
• PRACTICAL maintenance skills, including operation of grounds machinery and equipment
• Excellent communication skills and the drive to deliver inspiring visitor experiences
