Job Title: MET Technician/Mechanic

FMG Repair Services is seeking a skilled MET Technician/Mechanic to join our team in Newport. As a MET Technician/Mechanic, you will be responsible for removing and refitting mechanical and electrical components, removing and re-installing mechanical and electrical systems, and following job cards and repairing to manufacturing and Thatcham methodologies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Removing and refitting mechanical and electrical components
  • Removing and re-installing mechanical and electrical systems
  • Following job cards and repairing to manufacturing and Thatcham methodologies
  • Removing and fitting non-structural body panels and trim
  • Assessing and diagnosing faults
  • Knowledge of ADAS calibration and coding is an advantage
Requirements:
  • Previous experience working in a similar role, such as MET Technician, Bodyshop Technician, Body Fitter, Bodyshop Mechanic, Mechanic, Vehicle Technician, Stripper, or Fitter
  • Ideal qualifications include IMI, NVQ, or City & Guilds Level 2 or 3 (or equivalent)
  • Full Manual UK Driving Licence
