Job Title: HGV Technician - Fleet Maintenance Specialist
Job Summary:
Sprint Recruitment Limited is seeking an experienced HGV Technician to join their team and contribute to the success of their fleet maintenance operations. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for undertaking all elements of vehicle maintenance for the Film and TV industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carrying out planned and preventative maintenance along with diagnostic fault finding and reactive repairs to customer fleets.
- Taking care of general vehicle maintenance duties, including ensuring that customer fleets are safe, legal, and fit for duties at all times.
- Maintenance inspection of heavy vehicles, preventative maintenance inspections to the highest standard, ensuring all vehicles are safe and legal and fit for duties.
- Prepare all vehicles to the highest standard for MOT to ensure minimum number of failures.
- Service and maintain all vehicles to the highest standard while ensuring the vehicles are operating safely and compliant with legislation.
- Ensure any wheels removed are refitted in the correct manner and wheel nuts torqued using the companies calibrated torque wrenches to the correct settings.
- Always ensure good housekeeping of the Workshop & vehicles and your work area.
- Ensure the company complies with their commitment to ISO14001/9001 accreditation, IRTE, FTA by always maintaining the best possible standard of work.
- Complete job cards, maintenance records and associated paperwork with good work practice.
- Knowledge of the use / operations of all automotive equipment and testing / troubleshooting equipment.
- Ability to lift and manoeuvre Heavy Vehicle Components.
- Demonstrated ability to make decisions and work on own initiative.
Requirements:
- Knowledge of PSV/HGV maintenance
- Electrical circuits and systems knowledge
- Knowledge of engineering procedures and Health & Safety legislation
- Inspection of vehicles for the scheduled maintenance
