About the Role

Anaplan is a leading provider of cloud-based planning and analytics solutions. We're seeking a skilled Observability Engineer to join our dedicated Observability Infrastructure team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer observability infrastructure to ensure seamless data collection and analysis.
  • Deploy and configure Open Telemetry agents to collect telemetry data and visualize it in Grafana.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to build scalable, performant, and cost-effective observability solutions.
  • Coach and collaborate with platform and product engineers to share best practices on observability techniques.
  • Develop custom code in a testable and sustainable way, leveraging languages such as Python.
  • Work with Terraform to deploy dashboards and alerts to Grafana instances in a managed and repeatable way.
  • Translate product goals into prioritized platform requirements and work with stakeholders to drive great decisions.
Requirements
  • Experience with Open Telemetry, Prometheus, Jaeger, and other observability tools.
  • Knowledge of containerization using Kubernetes and experience with DevOps tools like Terraform, Jenkins, or Ansible.
  • Ability to work in an agile environment and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
