**Job Title:** Senior MEP Design Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior MEP Design Engineer to join our team at Mane Contract Services. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems for our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement building design guides to ensure compliance and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with domain experts to integrate standardised engineering solutions into project planning and design.
  • Evaluate and assess proposed deviations from design guides to ensure compliance and efficiency.
  • Develop major maintenance and lifecycle plan budgets for estate management.
  • Provide expert advice on the condition of estates, conducting thorough assessments of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing services.
  • Work closely with FM site operations managers to prioritise projects based on business objectives and building conditions.
  • Lead the transition to a proactive asset management approach in line with ISO55001 standards.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for the FM Operations team, acting as the final recipient of any new installations.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in Building Services Engineering, with a focus on Mechanical Engineering and the design/specification of mechanical installations.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
  • Experience in preparing scopes of work and performance specifications for planned maintenance and capital projects.
  • Knowledge of asset management principles, such as ISO55001.
  • Capability to implement standardised engineering solutions effectively.
  • Familiarity with energy-efficient solutions and their practical application.
  • Ability to act as a Senior Authorising Person with responsibility for Mechanical Safety Rules.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • CEng and membership with CIBSE are desirable but not essential.
