Financial Management Specialist

This senior accounting role offers a salary of up to £37,000 for a full-time permanent position in an office-based setting.

About the Role:
  • Manage accounting and bookkeeping tasks, including cash flow management and payroll processing.
  • Take on more responsibility and move beyond day-to-day bookkeeping duties.

The ideal candidate will have experience with Xero software or a modern accounting package, be highly proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook, and have previous experience operating PAYE for 15+ staff members.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Process invoices, code, and project allocate accounts payable.
  • Create invoices, obtain soft approval, and send to customers for accounts receivable.
  • Send statements and chase overdue accounts for credit control.
  • File VAT returns and review contents.
  • Reconcile numerous bank accounts, including foreign currency and complex transactions.
  • Process payroll, send payslips, and reconcile internal payments.
  • Manage employee expense claims.
  • Produce reports for regular company meetings.
  • Review ledgers and nominal accounts for errors and mispostings.
  • Assist the accountant with preparatory works for end-of-year filings.
