Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled General Practitioner to join our team at HMP Altcourse, a Category B men's prison and young offenders institution based in the Fazakerley area of Liverpool.

This is a part-time role, working 4 hours per week, with an estimated annual salary up to £114,490 (pro rata). We offer a range of benefits, including:

Job Responsibilities

As a General Practitioner, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality healthcare to patients, developing your knowledge in areas not typically experienced within a practice or A&E environment. Your duties will include:

  • Providing clinical assessment and diagnosis to meet patients' needs
  • Making timely decisions regarding future management
  • Serving as a specialist resource to other members of the healthcare team
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following qualifications and experience:

  • MBChB or MBBS degree and inclusion on the GMC Register and GP Performers List
  • Evidence of engagement with annual appraisal
  • Experience working as a General Practitioner in community general practice
  • Evidence of continuing professional development
  • Ability to work with patients who have a history of substance misuse
