Electrical Engineers Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated individual to join our team as a Working at Height Safety Technician. As a key member of our site team, you will collaborate with a lead engineer to install, maintain, and repair various permanent access equipment and fall protection systems.

Responsibilities:
  • Install and maintain permanent access equipment WAH systems, including fall restraint and fall arrest safety wire systems, fixed access ladders, handrail systems, gantries, and walkways.
  • Option to work alongside BMU engineers to maintain, repair, and test Building Maintenance Units (BMUs) on client sites.
  • Travel to and from job locations primarily within the Southeast, with a focus on London and the M25 area.
  • Meet the lead engineer at designated meeting points and travel to job sites in a company vehicle.
Requirements:
  • Ability to adhere to strict safe working practices and follow job instructions.
  • Reliability and strong organisational skills.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Practical orientation and capability to work at heights.
  • Numeracy and literacy with keen attention to detail.
  • Flexibility and positive approach to working away from home when required.
  • Full Clean Driving License.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team.
  • Capacity to perform well under pressure.
Desirable Qualifications:
  • Experience within the Work at Height industry.
  • Previous experience in similar roles or industries (e.g., LOLER inspections, BMUs, eyebolts, safety wire systems, guardrails).
  • Mechanical or electrical Engineering experience.
