Role Overview

As a Pharmacy Dispenser at The Boots Company PLC, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient-centred care. Your expertise will ensure that customers receive clear advice and care, while maintaining the safe supply of medicines.

Key Responsibilities
  • Tailor conversations with every customer to ensure they leave feeling informed and confident about their healthcare needs.
  • Deliver technical aspects of the dispensary, including ordering medicines, labelling, dispensing, endorsing, and collecting prescriptions.
  • Comply with legal and professional requirements, as well as accepted guidance on professional practice in Boots.
  • Engage with GPs and practice teams to promote services and items.
  • Ensure efficient dispensary operations and minimise dispensing losses.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need either an NVQ Level 2 equivalent in Pharmacy Services or be working towards and have completed the first year of an Mpharm course at university. Additionally, you must have completed a Medicines Counter Assistant (NVQ2) qualification or equivalent. If not, we will support your development to complete our training within 6 months.
