About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Pain Management Therapist to join our interdisciplinary team in providing specialist psychological assessment and treatment for adults with chronic pain.

The successful candidate will have excellent communication and relationship skills to provide complex information to healthcare professionals and advance students' knowledge and practice of psychological theories and principles.

This is a challenging yet rewarding role that requires an appreciation of complex medical and pharmaceutical issues, as well as experience of working within a physical health setting delivering individual and group interventions.

The ideal candidate will be HCPC registered, enthusiastic, and have a strong interest in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide and supervise specialist psychological assessment and treatment for adults with chronic pain
  • Conduct pre-and post-treatment assessments and formulate plans for treatment
  • Develop and promote a positive and dynamic image and culture
  • Foster productive relationships with key stakeholders such as NHS Talking Therapies service providers, patients, and the public
Requirements
  • Postgraduate qualification in relevant field
  • Experience of working within a physical health setting delivering individual and group interventions
  • Strong interest in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)
