Key Responsibilities:

In your role as Head of Service at HC-One, you’ll prioritize one thing above all else: kindness. This value will permeate every aspect of our Dementia, Nursing, Residential, and Specialist Care homes. As a member of our team, you’ll understand that our Residents are individuals with their own stories, deserving of respect and compassion.

Your Key Tasks:

  • Preparing and serving nutritious, healthy meals for our residents
  • Assisting in food preparation and presentation, including baking for the morning tea trolley and lunchtime desserts
  • Maintaining high standards of cleanliness, food safety, and hygiene in the kitchen
  • Managing food supplies and maintaining optimal fridge and freezer temperatures
  • Providing training and support to new starters, ensuring they understand our kitchen equipment and procedures

Requirements:

  • Experience in a kitchen environment, with knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations
  • Awareness of The Food Safety Act 1990, The Health and Safety at Work Act 1974, RIDDOR, and COSHH regulations
  • Excellent record-keeping and organizational skills
  • Ability to follow recipes and maintain high-quality presentation
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
