About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced Marketing Manager to lead our company's marketing operation and drive business growth.

The successful candidate will report directly to the Marketing Director and have management responsibility for our marketing team and our panel of agencies.

This is a player-manager role that requires strategic thinking and operational execution.

The Marketing Manager will be responsible for devising and executing the company's marketing strategy, including:

  • Leadership— managing a small team to develop and execute the company's marketing strategy;
  • Agency management— responsibility for managing our relationships with agencies and other providers;
  • Campaigns & launches— responsibility for devising and project managing campaigns and launches for new products and services;
  • Product collateral— overseeing our programmatic provision of product collateral;
  • Communications— managing our LinkedIn and email marketing communication programs to staff, members, and brokers;
  • Product life cycle— responsibility for the marketing components of our product upgrades;
  • Lead generation— initiating, managing, and optimizing lead generation programs in the B2C distribution channel, and running campaigns, producing collateral, and providing support to our business development team to build and strengthen productive relationships with our brokers;
  • Cross-selling— devising and launching a program to cross-sell insurance products to our new and existing members.

The ideal candidate will have at least 10 years' experience in marketing, including marketing to insurance brokers, and have worked for a private health insurance or life insurance company, broker, or aggregator.

The successful candidate will be customer-focused, conduct themselves with integrity, and demonstrate critical thinking and a broad range of perspectives, information, risk management, and future planning in their decision-making.

They will have experience managing agencies and also have the capability to get things done in-house, as outsourcing should be an option, not the default.

The ideal candidate will have a knowledge of SEO and content marketing, competency with design software, basic digital marketing tools, and reporting software, and experience with advanced digital marketing platforms.

They will also have a good understanding of and commitment to the principles of the GDPR and the Consumer Duty.
