Customer Delivery Architect, Migration & Modernization

As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in leading our largest and most complex cloud migration and modernization initiatives. In this role, you will work closely with enterprise customers to design, offer, and oversee the successful migration and modernization of their data centers and legacy applications to the AWS Cloud.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Share AWS best practices and evangelize cloud-first strategies within the customer organization to drive large-scale migration and modernization.
  2. Lead the assessment of our customers' organization, technical environments, and workloads, then design, offer, and implement comprehensive migration plans to the AWS Cloud, including technical and non-technical aspects of moving safely and efficiently to the cloud.
  3. Lead the planning and execution of large-scale data center exit projects, including infrastructure, applications, and organizational readiness/cloud maturity of our customers prior to moving to the cloud.
  4. Architect modern, cloud-native application architectures to modernize legacy and monolithic applications.
  5. Provide guidance and hands-on technical leadership to cross-functional delivery teams throughout the migration lifecycle.
  6. Identify optimization opportunities to improve application performance, availability, security, and cost-efficiency on AWS.
  7. Collaborate closely with customer stakeholders to understand requirements, manage risks, and ensure project success.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
  1. Multiple years of experience in cloud architecture, migration, and application modernization.
  2. Demonstrated success leading large, complex migration and transformation projects from start to finish.
  3. Strong understanding of modern application architectures, including microservices, containers, and serverless.
  4. Strong understanding of on-prem data center architecture as well as cloud architecture, security, and landing zones.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  1. Strong understanding of AWS services.
  2. Financial services industry (FSI) experience and background.
  3. Experience migrating or transforming legacy customer solutions to the cloud and/or operating solutions built on AWS.
  4. Expertise in DevOps, Big Data, Machine Learning, GenAI, and Serverless Computing.
  5. Experience in infrastructure automation through DevOps scripting (e.g., shell, Python, Ruby, PowerShell).
