School Caretaker Role: We are currently looking for an experienced caretaker to join our team at BRC. As a key member of staff, you will be responsible for maintaining the overall condition of our school premises, ensuring they remain safe and well-maintained for students and staff.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Perform regular inspections of the school to identify potential problems, repair damaged areas, and address any other issues that may affect the smooth operation of the school.
  • Manage the locking and unlocking of the school, ensuring the security of the premises at all times.
  • Assist with minor repairs, general maintenance tasks, and handymen services, including fixing leaks, testing fire alarms, and general decorating.
  • Ensure adherence to environmental regulations by removing litter and keeping the surrounding area clean.
  • In the event of an emergency or security breach, notify the premises manager or headteacher and take necessary actions, such as contacting the police or fire brigade if necessary.

Key Skills and Qualifications:
  • A full UK driving license.
  • A satisfactory DBS check.

Annual Salary: £20,444 - £22,571
