Job Overview
A leading provider in children's services is seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Children's Services Manager to lead a dedicated team at their leaving care services within Peterborough and Lincoln. This fixed-term contract role involves overseeing the delivery of high-quality services to vulnerable children and families, ensuring their safety, well-being, and development.

About the Role
This exciting opportunity offers the chance to make a real difference in the lives of children, young people, and families by leading a team of staff and sessional workers in developing and maintaining effective practice and delivery of services. The successful candidate will be responsible for completing all management procedures and routines for each member of the team, as well as overseeing Service User Recording and providing performance management data and reporting to internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
The ideal candidate will have experience line managing people and a sound knowledge of Ofsted. They will be an empathic person who can keep calm under pressure and enjoy making a positive impact on children's lives. Key responsibilities include:
  • Leading and managing a designated team of people working with service users to provide all required Children's Services activities and practices to the agreed standards;
  • Oversight and control of Service User Recording in the team to ensure it is undertaken in accordance with policies and procedures and to the satisfaction of Commissioners and all relevant external authorities;
  • Supporting CSM in the provision of performance management data and reporting to internal and external stakeholders as required;
  • Maintaining active engagement on all Safeguarding matters so that issues are dealt with in the interests of the child, in a compliant and professional manner, with appropriate escalation to, and involvement of, senior management and external agencies in line with Safeguarding Policy.

Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need to be a driver and have experience in children's services. You will also require a sound knowledge of Ofsted and the ability to maintain active engagement on all Safeguarding matters. The salary for this role is £17 per hour.
