We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Nursing Associate to join our team at Mid Dorset Primary Healthcare Ltd. As a key member of our clinical team, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care and supporting our registered nurses in their daily tasks.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver high-quality, compassionate care to patients while undertaking specific clinical and care tasks under the direction of a registered nurse.
- Provide holistic and person-centred care to individuals, prioritising their needs and promoting good health and independence.
- Contribute to the delivery of integrated care, working collaboratively with our multi-disciplinary team to achieve the best possible outcomes for our patients.
- Support registered nurses to enable them to focus on more complex clinical care, ensuring that patients receive the highest level of care and attention.
- Perform and record clinical observations, such as blood pressure, temperature, respirations, and pulse, as required.
- Provide flu vaccinations, ECGs, and venepuncture, as well as other relevant clinical tasks, in line with the competencies of the role.
- Advise patients on general healthcare and promote self-management, signposting them to personalised care colleagues and local community and voluntary sector services.
- Maintain accurate and contemporaneous patient health records, ensuring that clinical data is appropriately recorded on SystmOne using Ardens templates.
- Process pathology results as required.
- Enhance own performance through continuous professional development, imparting own knowledge and behaviours to meet the needs of the service.
