Warehouse Assistant Job Description

**Job Summary:**

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Warehouse Assistant to join our client's family-based animal feed manufacturers in Yeovil. As a key member of the team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of incoming and outgoing deliveries, stock management, and packaging duties.

**Key Responsibilities:**

* Operate within health and safety guidelines, legal requirements, and Code of Practice for Cross Contamination
* Supervise bulk delivery vehicles at the intake area and conduct inspections
* Label raw material sample bags correctly and perform weighbridge duties when necessary
* Reconcile pre-ordered bagged dispatches or additions to stock during each shift
* Assist with product packaging using the Press Operator
* Move stacked pallets to clean and dry areas of the warehouse
* Ensure bags are checked and stacked neatly

**Requirements:**

* Previous warehouse experience is preferred but not required
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
* Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
* Ability to lift and move heavy objects

**Working Hours:**

* Rotating shift pattern: Monday - Friday 6am-2pm, Tuesday - Saturday 2pm-10pm
