About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Advisory Lead to join our Correspondent Banking team at Natwest. As a key member of our Financial Crime Risk Management team, you will play a critical role in driving a culture of intelligent risk management and partnering with the business to deliver safe and sustainable solutions for our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and inspire a team of business and customer control partners to ensure the development and delivery of effective financial crime controls for our Correspondent Banking business.
  • Build and lead the Correspondent Banking Advisory function, providing guidance and training on the interpretation of Financial Crime policy, standards, and risk appetite decisions across all Financial Crime typologies.
  • Partner with other specialist advisory colleagues and business teams to ensure consistent implementation of a robust Financial Crime control framework.
  • Develop relationships across the industry and engage on regulatory matters, utilizing data to set out the current state of play to senior stakeholders, whilst articulating and driving forward the targeted enhancements required to achieve the strategic end state for the control framework.
Requirements
  • A strong understanding of anti-money laundering (AML) and other financial crime regulatory requirements and how these apply to Correspondent Banking.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with a proven ability to influence at senior management levels and collaborate across an organisation.
  • The ability to analyse and evaluate multiple sources of information, considering alternatives and the associated consequences.
  • Drive to design and build an industry-leading control framework for Correspondent Banking.
  • Proven people leadership skills, with the ability to coach and build capability into the wider team.
