Debt Recovery Specialist
Estimated Salary:£35,000 - £45,000 per annum, depending on experience
About the Role:We are seeking an experienced Debt Recovery Specialist to join our Finance team in Urmston, Manchester. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing an effective and accurate credit control function, ensuring prompt collection of outstanding debts and reconciliations of client accounts.
The ideal candidate will have excellent analytical skills, a strong knowledge of data management, and a proven background in Credit Control. You will be commercially aware, with advanced Excel knowledge and the ability to manage and manipulate large complex data sets.
You will work closely with our Sales Managers to discuss outstanding debts, ensure timely resolution of sales ledger variances, and communicate to stakeholders variances and offer solutions.
Key Responsibilities:- Present findings of anomalies to wider business, explaining reasons why the data is or isn't accurate and offering solutions to rectify any issues that arise.
- Ensure prompt collection of outstanding debts efficiently and effectively.
- Highlight problems and issues as they arise; deal with unallocated cash and reconciliations of client accounts.
- Prepare monthly overdue and problem debt reports to be shared and discussed with Senior Credit Reconciliation Specialists.
- Reduce over 60+ day debts and monitor overall credit balances of accounts.
- Conduct regular meetings with Sales Managers to discuss outstanding debts via Microsoft Teams or face-to-face.
