About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Butcher to lead our Butchery Department and drive sales growth. As a Butchery Department Manager, you will be responsible for maintaining high standards in all areas, including stock, food safety procedures, and customer satisfaction.
Main Responsibilities
- Maintaining high standards in all areas, including stock, food safety procedures, and customer satisfaction
- Developing a business plan to support sales growth and profitability
- Greeting and speaking to customers, providing advice and answering questions
- Ordering and managing stock, including stocktaking
- Effectively developing and managing a small team, including staff rotas
- Cutting meat to order
- Cleaning and maintaining tools and equipment
- Coordinating deliveries or order pickups
- Controlling waste
