About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Process Engineer to join our team in Belfast. As a key member of our manufacturing team, you will be responsible for designing, optimizing, and enhancing assembly processes to drive efficiency, quality, and safety.

Key Responsibilities
  • Innovate and fine-tune assembly processes to boost efficiency, safety, and product excellence.
  • Design and implement optimal layouts and procedures for assembly lines.
  • Conduct time and motion studies to unlock process improvements.
  • Champion lean manufacturing and continuous improvement strategies.
  • Provide hands-on technical support to troubleshoot equipment and resolve process issues.
  • Ensure all processes meet the highest safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
  • Create and maintain essential documentation, including risk assessments, work instructions, and SOPs.
  • Specify, source, and oversee the installation of new tools and equipment.
  • Develop proactive maintenance plans to keep operations running smoothly.
  • Partner with quality control to ensure products meet standards, analyze data, and drive corrective actions.
  • Lead exciting process improvement projects, managing timelines, budgets, and cross-functional teams.
  • Train staff on new processes and equipment, while staying ahead of industry trends.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
  • Six Sigma certification.
  • Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems.
  • 3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing engineering role, ideally within assembly operations.
  • Expertise in lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Hands-on experience with CAD software and manufacturing process simulation tools.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and data-driven decision-making capabilities.
Working Environment

This role is primarily based in a dynamic manufacturing plant environment, with occasional travel to supplier sites or other company locations.
