We're seeking an exceptional IT Infrastructure Manager to join our dynamic team, overseeing and maintaining three data centres, managing network infrastructure, security systems, and ensuring seamless internal and external connectivity for 900 employees and 3.5 million public-facing application users.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Lead a small team of IT technical specialists in defining an infrastructure strategy aligned with our overall IT strategy, delivering efficient and cost-effective solutions to meet business objectives.
  • Design, configure, and manage network infrastructure, including firewalls, switches, load balancers, storage, and computing systems, ensuring availability, resilience, and security in line with service level agreements and business requirements.
  • Contribute to the management of physical and virtual servers (Windows, Linux, VMware, Hyper-V), ensuring their availability and security according to service level agreements and business needs.
  • Deploy, configure, and maintain security and monitoring tools, such as NDR, web proxies, and firewall policy management.
  • Define and manage changes to existing IT infrastructure, designing and implementing new infrastructure while ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
  • Provide support for incident management, working outside standard hours when necessary, to swiftly restore business operations.
  • Manage the datacentre estate alongside the Head of Internal IT and Head of Cloud Services, ensuring continuity of power, cooling, and monitoring.
  • Oversee the delivery of major IT infrastructure projects.
  • Manage third-party service providers, ensuring they meet contractual service levels.

  • You will have experience leading and managing IT teams, coaching, training, and development.
  • You are someone with in-depth experience of delivering infrastructure services and communicating these services to stakeholders for business enablement and improvement.

Salary:

We offer a competitive salary of around £85,000 per annum, reflecting your expertise and experience in IT infrastructure management.
