Job Title: Lead Land/Land Surveyor

Dyer & Butler is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Land & Utilities Surveyor to join our Survey team. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading multiple survey teams undertaking various survey disciplines, including PAS128 (Utility Detection), and will be based in the Southern half of the country.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead survey teams to deliver high-quality survey services to our clients.
  • Manage workload effectively and assist team members as needed.
  • Ensure excellent safety, standards, and quality are maintained throughout projects.
  • Communicate effectively with all departments and project teams.
  • Share knowledge and coach team members to improve performance.
Requirements:
  • Expert knowledge of survey disciplines, including PAS128.
  • Ability to work flexibly, including shifts and away from base location.
  • Understanding of commercial responsibilities.
  • Good knowledge of CAD practices and site setting out skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to interpret scopes and technical information.
  • Good understanding of data management and quality control.
  • Assist the Site Manager with survey reports compilation.
  • Train, support, mentor, and guide survey teams.
  • Keep up to date with legislations and current industry standards.
  • Desire for self-development and continuous self-improvement.
  • Full UK driving license and GPR utility detection for onsite analysis.
  • Laser scanning and working on Railway projects.
  • PTS accreditation and basic knowledge of N4CE.
  • Level 3/4/5 QCF Certificate in Utility Mapping and Surveying.
  • SSSTS accreditation and holder of CSCS accreditation.
  • NRSWA accreditation.
