Marketing & Communications Manager

Purpose of the Position:

The Marketing & Communications Manager will be responsible for managing the company's marketing activities and external communications for Wizz Air UK. This includes developing positive brand awareness, creating a regional marketing and communications strategy, and nurturing relationships with local and international media.

This role requires close collaboration with central resources, including the Senior Marketing Team Lead and Head of Communications. The successful candidate will work closely with our PR and marketing agencies in the UK to oversee activity and ensure the company's reputation is built and maintained.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Develop and execute the annual marketing strategy for Wizz Air UK and its destination markets, in cooperation with Wizz Air's Senior Marketing Team Lead.
  2. Work with other commercial departments to identify areas of development and opportunities, creating marketing initiatives and activities that drive potential customers to digital sales and engagement channels.
  3. Localise communications material in line with Wizz Air's brand guidelines.
  4. Lead various marketing projects, including airport signage and using digital and offline marketing tools.
  5. Provide market and customer insights to central teams and generate actionable conclusions based on relevant surveys.
  6. Identify and implement effective marketing tools and channels to create awareness of Wizz Air's key communications messages.
Corporate Communications (PR):
  1. Cultivate relationships with key business partners and journalists in national and trade publications across the UK.
  2. Write clear and compelling communications materials, ensuring the department archive is maintained.
  3. Develop compelling story angles, aligning key messages with Wizz Air's Head of Corporate Communications.
  4. Pitch stories to media to achieve high visibility in online, print, and media.
Requirements:
  1. 3+ years of experience in corporate communications, marketing, or brand management.
  2. Experience in managing complex projects in multi-market operations.
  3. Mastery in communications, customers, market understanding, and digital marketing.
  4. Native English speaker with excellent verbal and written communications skills.
  5. Creative and confident with strong interpersonal skills and attention to detail.
  6. Proficient in MS Office applications.
  7. Ready to travel up to 50% of working time.
