Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Quality Assurance Specialist to join our team at SGS. As a key member of our Quality Health Safety and Environment team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the highest standards of quality, safety, and environmental compliance across our UK operations.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in quality and safety, with a proven track record of developing and implementing effective QHSSE standards, policies, and systems. You will work closely with our Business Partners and managers to drive compliance and excellence across the organization.

  • Develop and implement QHSSE standards, policies, and systems to ensure compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards.
  • Collaborate with Business Partners and managers to drive quality and safety initiatives across the organization.
  • Lead internal QHSSE audits and inspections to ensure compliance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Develop and maintain effective internal audit programs to ensure ongoing compliance and quality.
  • Work on diverse and wide-ranging projects to drive quality and safety excellence across the organization.
  • Deliver consistent and effective internal audit processes to ensure compliance and quality.
  • Frequent travel within the UK to support audits and inspections.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A relevant HSE professional qualification, such as a NEBOSH Certificate, British Safety Council Diploma in Safety Management, or NVQ4 in Occupational Safety & Health Management.
  • A relevant Quality professional qualification, such as a Diploma in Quality Management.
  • A relevant Lead Auditor qualification, such as ISO 9001, 17025, 17065, 17020, 14001, or 45001.
  • A full UK driving license.

  • Operating within a multi-disciplined and diverse service organization.
  • Significant practical experience in developing and auditing QHSSE management systems.
  • Working knowledge of relevant QHSSE standards and regulations.
