About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and caring Childcare Assistant to join our team at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust. As a key member of our nursery team, you will play a vital role in creating a safe, stimulating, and learning-rich environment for children.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Supporting Childcare Practitioners: Assist in providing high-quality care and education to children, adhering to EYFS and OFSTED regulations. Ensure child protection policies and procedures are followed, escalating concerns to the nursery manager if needed.
  2. Activity Planning: Assist in planning activities that cater to each child's background and cultural needs, promoting their growth and development.
  3. Safeguarding and Child Protection: Actively promote and support the safeguarding of children, ensuring adherence to child protection policies at all times.
  4. Food and Drink Supervision: Assist in serving and supervising children's meals, paying attention to individual dietary and religious requirements.
Person Specification

We are looking for an individual with:

  • Knowledge of EYFS & OFSTED regulations
  • Ability to adapt to meet the needs of the service within a team environment

Experience of contributing to daily planning in a nursery setting is essential. A basic understanding of the importance of Health & Safety and Food Hygiene in the workplace is also required.
