Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Counterparty Risk Manager to join our team at Goldman Sachs. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in risk management and be able to analyze and mitigate counterparty credit risk.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage counterparty and product risk, including credit and settlement risk monitoring, limit exception management, and risk exposure analysis
  • Daily review of client exposures, risk profile, and collateral balances
  • Engage in document negotiation to review and approve material economically impactful terms in trading agreements
  • Design strategy to respond to macro market changes and work closely with cross-divisional project teams to implement initiatives
  • Analyze, monitor, and report the Division's credit exposures across swaps, options, forwards, and repurchase agreements
  • Flag exposures that exceed the firm's appetite to its counterparties to senior managers and other colleagues
  • Identify and appropriately escalate issues related to data and work accuracy and quality
  • Take initiative to identify opportunities for process improvements and develop methods to reduce risks, increase controls, and improve communication
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in Risk Management or Risk-taking role in a financial institution
  • Derivative operations, credit analysis, ratings analysis, corporate finance, and/or research desired
  • Relevant bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification with an excellent academic record
  • Strong interest and familiarity with finance, global financial markets, and economic developments
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills as well as written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work flexibly in teams and manage a varied workload to meet deadlines
  • Highly motivated with strong academic background and a commitment to excellence
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple assignments concurrently

The estimated salary for this position is $120,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications. We offer a comprehensive benefits package and a dynamic work environment.
