Safeguarding Business Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to join our team as a Safeguarding Business Manager. This is a permanent appointment that will play a crucial role in supporting the work and development of safeguarding services in South Tyneside.
About the Role
The Safeguarding Business Manager will be responsible for driving forward the safeguarding agenda for people in South Tyneside, working with regional and national partners to enhance and influence this. The successful candidate will have strategic leadership skills, the ability to manage and deal with a range of safeguarding matters, and experience of chairing complex multi-agency meetings and producing effective outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement effective safeguarding strategies to ensure the well-being of adults and children in South Tyneside
- Work closely with regional and national partners to enhance and influence safeguarding services
- Chair complex multi-agency meetings and produce effective outcomes
- Manage and deal with a range of safeguarding matters, including complaints and incidents
- Represent and promote the image and reputation of South Tyneside's Safeguarding Adults Board and Safeguarding Children's Partnership
Requirements
The successful candidate will have:
Relevant professional experience in health, social care, or the criminal justice systemStrong strategic leadership skills and the ability to manage and deal with a range of safeguarding mattersExperience of chairing complex multi-agency meetings and producing effective outcomesA sound knowledge and understanding of the legislation and guidance relating to safeguarding adults and childrenExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsWhat We Offer
