About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Civil Engineer to join our water team in Bristol. As a key member of our design team, you will be responsible for delivering detailed designs for water-related projects in the UK.

As a Senior Civil Engineer, you will work closely with our multidisciplinary team to provide innovative solutions for our clients. You will be involved in projects from conception to completion, including supporting project managers, undertaking detailed design, and checking outputs.

You will also be responsible for providing technical guidance, support, and training to colleagues, as well as assisting in mentoring and the development of others.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver detailed designs for water-related projects in the UK
  • Work closely with our multidisciplinary team to provide innovative solutions for clients
  • Support project managers and undertake significant elements of the detailed design and checking of outputs
  • Provide technical guidance, support, and training to colleagues
  • Assist in mentoring and the development of others
Requirements
  • Chartered Engineer status or working towards with a relevant institution (e.g., ICE or CIWEM)
  • Strong interpersonal and team working skills, with a good working relationship with all levels of the organisation, clients, and contractors
  • Comprehensive knowledge and experience of water and wastewater non-infrastructure design, including an understanding of the basics and the integration of multidisciplinary elements
  • Extensive experience in design, contract, and tender preparation, tender assessment, and contract administration
