Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Director to lead our Gynaecological Oncology services at The Royal Wolverhampton NHS Trust.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Consultant Subspecialist in Gynaecological Oncology to take on a leadership role within our team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert medical leadership and guidance to our Gynaecological Oncology team, ensuring high-quality patient care and excellent clinical outcomes.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve service efficiency, productivity, and patient satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless delivery of care and effective communication.
Requirements
  • Fully registered with the GMC and licensed to practice in the UK.
  • On the GMC Specialist Register or within 6 months of CCT from the date of interview.
  • MRCOG qualification and completed subspecialty training accreditation in Gynaecological oncology or equivalent training.
  • Experience in managing complex Gynaecological Oncology cases, including open and minimally invasive surgical approaches.
  • Evidence of audit/research and the implementation of change following the audit.
  • Evidence of contributing to departmental teaching programmes.
Desirable Skills
  • Higher Medical Degree.
  • Experience in robotic surgery.
  • Relevant research published in peer-reviewed journals.
Working Conditions

The successful candidate will be based at The Royal Wolverhampton NHS Trust and will be expected to work collaboratively as part of a dynamic team.

Salary

The salary for this position is £120,000-£180,000 per annum, depending on experience.
