Job Summary

As an Automation Specialist at Innovate Healthcare Services, you will play a key role in planning, organizing, and strategizing the development of our systems. Your primary responsibility will be to link and integrate various systems to support our Local Health Community's strategy. This may involve linking a cancer monitoring database to our Trust Patient Administration System (PAS).

You will participate in ICT service development, focusing on web and custom solution developments. Your ability to manage workload and projects independently, without assistance, is essential. You will prioritize work appropriately and use project management tools to achieve timely delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

Support the Trust Data Protection Officer and Caldicott Guardian in maintaining an effective security and confidentiality policy, especially regarding databases.

Liaise with IT training staff to ensure the training program meets the needs of an efficient and well-supported service. Minimize problems by collaborating with training staff.

Provide technical advice and support for third-party development interfaces to Local Health Community databases. Develop training manuals/guides for end-users, available in both paper and electronic formats on the website/intranet. Offer training and guidance on new automations/systems/databases to individuals and groups, catering to varying levels of IT literacy and complex IT issues.

Work closely with the IT department to ensure developments work successfully in our Trust's computer network infrastructure.

Take personal responsibility for laptops or other computer hardware issued.

Participate in appropriate training and development activities. Ensure all staff review mistakes, complaints, and incidents/near misses to improve performance and customer care.
