About the Role

Sheffield City Council's Capital Delivery Service is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to join our team. As a key member of the multidisciplinary team, you will play a crucial role in delivering construction projects and shaping the city's infrastructure.

Job Description:

Salary: £62,000 - £73,000 per annum (dependent on experience).

\

Main Responsibilities:

  • Leading and coordinating multidisciplinary teams to achieve project objectives.\
  • Providing expert advice on design and engineering matters, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards.\
  • Collaborating with architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless project delivery.\
  • Developing and maintaining effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.\
  • Ensuring that all projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.\
  • Coordinating with various teams, including Programme and Project Management, Cost Management, Structural and Civil Engineering, Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, Architecture, and Work Assurance and Project Safety.\
  • Cultivating and maintaining a culture of innovation, continuous improvement, and best practices within the service.\
  • Developing and implementing strategies to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of project delivery.\

    • The ideal candidate will have a strong background in civil or structural engineering, with a minimum of 3 years of experience in a senior engineering role.\
