At Babcock, we're working to create a safe and secure world, together. As a Combat Support Operative, you'll play a vital part in managing equipment and resources.

The Role:

You'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. You'll assist with the day-to-day running of all resources, equipment, and stores, including issuing, receiving, husbandry, and replenishment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Handle the issuing, receiving, replenishing, and organizing of equipment and supplies, ensuring all paperwork is accurate and up to date.
  • Report shortages, discrepancies, and any issues affecting training or operations to the Resource Supervisor.
  • Support training exercises by serving as sentries, safety boat operators (training provided), and deploying with the Royal Engineer Troop Commanders Course (RETCC) for up to seven days.
  • Perform seasonal site maintenance, assist with authority-led projects, and maintain training areas to meet contractual obligations.
  • Provide Lone Worker support, conduct Portable Appliance Testing (PAT), perform Fire Warden duties, and complete all required training as directed by Line Management.

Requirements:

  • Able to read and understand detailed instructions and maps.
  • Able to work well both independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience in a customer service role.
  • Able to swim.
