Hexagon Recruitment is pleased to be working with our long-established client, a manufacturer of Plastic Extrusion & Thermoforming products, to recruit a Maintenance Engineer for their Runcorn site.

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and ensuring the production's semi-automated and automated machines are kept in good working order on a daily basis.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Maintaining a high level of mechanical and electrical knowledge to ensure the smooth operation of production equipment.
  • Responding to maintenance needs and breakdowns throughout the busy manufacturing facility.
  • Working closely with the production team to identify and implement improvements to equipment and processes.
  • Collaborating with the maintenance team to ensure effective maintenance planning and execution.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Experience in maintaining, repairing, and ensuring the production's semi-automated and automated machines are kept in good working order.
  • Strong mechanical and electrical knowledge, with a focus on maintenance and repair.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
  • A proactive approach to maintenance and a commitment to ensuring the smooth operation of production equipment.

This is a permanent position, with immediate interviews available. The salary range is between £39,000 and £47,000 per year, plus overtime and benefits, pending skills and experience.
