Job Title: Public Procurement Lawyer

About the Role:

Axiom is seeking an experienced Public Procurement Lawyer to join our team. As a Public Procurement Lawyer, you will be responsible for managing the review, drafting, and negotiation of RFPs and procurement contracts with third parties and subcontractors for clients in the public sector.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the review, drafting, and negotiation of RFPs and procurement contracts with third parties and subcontractors.
  • Provide subject matter expertise during the tender stage of agreements involving public sector buyers, ensuring compliance with application rules, regulations, and best practices.
  • Offer practical and concise legal counsel to internal business teams as queries arise throughout the contract lifecycle.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of public sector procurement laws, regulations, and industry trends to ensure procurement processes and contracts are current and compliant.

Requirements:

  • Right to work in the UK and eligible to practice as a lawyer in the UK.
  • Demonstrated experience in handling public sector procurement, including the management of RFPs, either gained in-house or within the public sector/government sector.
  • In-depth understanding of public procurement laws, regulations, and industry best practices.
  • Excellent negotiation, drafting, and communication skills, with the ability to provide clear and practical legal advice to diverse stakeholders.
