About the Role

At Ambient Support Limited, we are looking for a dedicated and caring Care Support Worker to join our team. As a Care Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to individuals with learning disabilities in our Day and Drop-in services.

Key Responsibilities

Providing Social and Emotional Support: You will provide social and emotional support to our service users, either at home or in their local community, helping them to build relationships and maintain their independence.

Personal Care: You will support our service users with their personal care needs, including personal hygiene and daily living tasks.

Shopping and Budgeting: You will assist our service users with their shopping and budgeting, helping them to manage their finances effectively.

Relationship Building: You will build and maintain relationships with our service users' friends and family, ensuring they are involved in their care and support.

Household Tasks: You will assist our service users with household tasks, including cooking, cleaning, and laundry.

Community Activities: You will accompany our service users on outings and activities, promoting their social inclusion and engagement.

Requirements
  • Experience: Ideally, you will have experience supporting adults with learning disabilities, including autism.
  • Calm and Caring: You will be a calm, caring individual with a positive outlook, able to empathize with our service users' needs.
  • Communication Skills: You will have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to work effectively with our service users and their families.
  • Computer Literacy: You will be computer literate, able to use our systems and software to record service users' information and monitor their progress.
  • Driver's License: Having a driver's license is desirable but not essential.
