HLTA Role Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced HLTA to join our team in a London-based secondary school. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in supporting the learning and development of our students, particularly those with special educational needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver focused and engaging lessons in numeracy and literacy to small groups of SEN pupils.
  • Monitor and assess pupil progress, providing constructive feedback and implementing strategies to support their learning journey.
  • Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and external professionals to ensure a holistic approach to each pupil's education.
Requirements
  • Relevant experience working with SEN pupils in an educational setting.
  • Strong knowledge and skills in teaching numeracy and literacy.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting the learning and development of SEN pupils.
  • HLTA qualification or equivalent experience.
