Job Title: Design Manager - Project Delivery

To ensure the successful delivery of design projects, we are seeking an experienced Design Manager to oversee the management and control of the design process. The successful candidate will work closely with the Project Delivery teams to provide design input and support, ensuring that design and procurement information packages meet project requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the management of design proposals to ensure they meet customer/employer requirements, including budget and programme constraints.
  • Monitor design responsibilities against the project design responsibilities matrix.
  • Manage the Design Team, including M&E elements, and ensure that they meet all customer specifications.
  • Facilitate forums and processes to engage with commercial and operational teams to ensure input in the design process.
  • Conduct QA/Initial design reviews of information received to assist in design quality management.
  • Assist in the management of design deliverables and facilitate meetings relating to design delivery.
  • Be aware and assist in the management of sustainability deliverables for the scheme, including external and internal targets.
  • Liaise with document project document control and assist in the management of this resource.
Requirements:
  • Awareness of the principles of construction and the ability to work effectively in a project team.
  • Excellent IT skills, including Microsoft Office, and CAD knowledge is preferable but not essential.
  • Strong time management and structured approach to work.
