Blueprint Recruitment Solutions is seeking a skilled Electrical Design Consultant to join their team on a long-term contract basis. This position will involve a mixture of survey and design work, requiring the successful candidate to operate on a hybrid basis, attending the office 3 days per week.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Building Services Engineering, with experience in designing and specifying Electrical Building Services systems, including power, earthing, lighting, life safety, telecoms, security, access control, lifts, and lightning protection. They will also be responsible for surveying existing Electrical services and making necessary adjustments to the designs.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Design and specification of Electrical Building Services systems
  • Survey and design work
  • Managing workload and updating forward plan regularly
  • Production of detailed calculations using industry-standard software tools
  • Checking design work of fellow team members and external designers
  • Preparing conceptual designs

Key requirements for the role include a degree qualification in Building Services Engineering or a related subject, experience working in a design consultancy, and good computer literacy in a range of digital tools, including Amtech/Prodesign, Dialux/Relux, NBS, and Microsoft packages.
