Heavy Equipment Service Technician

CV Library is seeking an experienced Heavy Equipment Service Technician to join our team. As a Field Based Forklift Engineer, you will be responsible for repairing and maintaining forklift machinery and plant equipment.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this position is £33,000 - £36,000 base, with an estimated total earnings potential of £45,000+ due to overtime opportunities. This role also offers a range of benefits, including:

Responsibilities and Requirements

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Accurately diagnosing faults and carrying out repairs on forklift machinery and plant equipment
  • Collaborating with customers on site
  • Traveling to sites to carry out repairs and maintenance
  • Working on engines, batteries, pneumatics, and hydraulics, as well as mechanical and electrical fault finding and repairs

Qualifications and Experience

To be successful in this role, you will need previous experience working in the Plant or Forklift industries, with a strong understanding of hydraulics, mechanical, and electrical capabilities. Relevant qualifications, such as NVQ or City and Guilds in mechanical/electrical engineering, are advantageous.
