Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Site Operations Manager to join our team at FishTek Ltd. As a key member of our site team, you will be responsible for overseeing the installation and construction of our fish passes, eel passes, screens, and habitat improvement works.

Key Responsibilities

  • Organize and manage site preliminaries, including the preparation of site documents such as RAMS, COSHH forms, and CPP, as well as the organization of welfare facilities and liaison with clients and landowners regarding access.
  • Liaise with the wider team on aspects such as buildability and H&S, and coordinate between the site team and design team.
  • Manage materials, stock, and site tools, including the management of a stock and tool list.
  • Organize and manage the site team during the installation and construction of projects.
  • Assist on site with the installation of eel passes and fish passes, which may involve the use of hand tools and small machines, with adequate training provided as needed.
  • Provide general client and stakeholder liaison.

Requirements

  • Relevant years of experience, preferably in the water industry.
  • First Aid training, CSCS card, CITB Site Safety + (or similar qualification), CIRIA, CITB, or IEMA Construction Environmental Awareness, and current CITB Site Management Safety Training Scheme (SMSTS) or IOSH Safety, Health & Environment for Construction Site Managers.
  • Experience preparing documents such as RAMS and CPP.
  • Experience managing the construction of small to medium civil construction projects, ideally in the water environment.
  • Experience delivering small to medium civil construction projects, including the use of a wide range of hand tools.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively liaise with team members, clients, and external stakeholders.
  • Reasonable computer literacy, including a working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
