Job Summary

We are looking for a software engineer to support and develop applications for test, measurement, data extraction, and analysis. The role involves standalone data extraction and analysis tools and test applications which control test instruments for photonics product measurements.

Your goal will be to build software that serves user needs along with maintaining and updating existing software applications. Key Responsibilities:

  • Support and develop photonics test and measurement software
  • Produce clean, efficient code based on project and user requirements
  • Verify and deploy version-controlled release packages
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing software and tools
  • Create technical documentation for reference and reporting
  • Communicate and build software specifications based on customer requirements
  • Provide professional levels of support to end users

Person Specification:

The successful candidate should be a team player with a keen eye for detail along with having strong communication, problem-solving skills, and technical knowledge.

Required Experience:

  • Graduate or experienced software developer

Desired Experience:

  • Python, LabVIEW, SQL DB design and build
  • Test automation in a manufacturing environment
  • Remote control and automation of instrumentation - GPIB, USB, Ethernet, etc.
